Health Equity North holds first annual Summit

This month, the first ever annual Health Equity North Summit at Lancaster University was held, bringing together NHSA member representatives to share ideas and develop plans for the future direction of Health Equity North.

Executive Director Hannah Davies, along with Academic Co-directors Professor David Taylor-Robinson and Dr Luke Munford, gave presentations on the work of Health Equity North and priorities for the future.

Head of Public Affairs Alexis Darby also delivered a session , speaking about new opportunities to influence the new government to improve inequalities for people in our regions.

24 attendees from eight North Health Science Alliance member universities attended the Summit, and took part in workshops around Woman of the North, Child of the North and Health and Productivity. You can view notes from the workshop here and view slides from the presentation here.
