Host: Northern Health Science Alliance and Health Equity North
The event focussed on what can be done to close the unequal challenges and inequity women in the North face compared to those in the rest of the country. Speakers included Jess Phillips MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls), and Metro Mayors Kim McGuinness (North East) and Tracy Brabin (West Yorkshire).

Child of the North Panel Event – How can a Labour Government tackle child poverty and create opportunity for children across the North?
Host: Northern Health Science Alliance and Health Equity North
This panel event focussed on addressing inequalities confronting children across the North examining the importance of the first 1,000 days of a child’s life, and the Labour Party’s strategies aimed at breaking down barriers to opportunity, raising standards and creating a better future for children across our region.
